“老鼠前面走，跟著老黃牛，老虎一聲吼，兔子抖三抖，龍在天上游，蛇在地上扭， 馬兒跑得快，山羊吃青草，猴子翻跟頭，金雞喊啼鳴，黃狗守大門，小豬睡大覺。”你們聽過這首童謠嗎？不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，這里面一共有12種動物，對應的恰好是我們中國的12生肖。我們每個人都有自己的屬相，也常常會被別人問起：“你屬什么的？”所以，關于屬相的相關表達，快快學起來吧。

　　1. 生肖/ 屬相 —— Chinese zodiac

　　zodiac可以指西方的“星座”，前面加上Chinese，就可以指中國的生肖了。

　　(1). Dragon is the only animal in the Chinese zodiac that doesn’t exist in the natural world. 在十二生肖中，龍是唯一現(xiàn)實世界中不存在的動物。

　　(2) The Chinese zodiac features twelves animals. 十二生肖代表了12種動物。

　　(3). What’s your Chinese zodiac sign? 你屬什么的？

　　(4). I’m a Pig in the Chinese zodiac.  我屬豬。

　　關于“我屬……”還有幾種表達：

　　—— I was born in/ under the Year of the Snake. 我屬蛇（小龍）。

　　—— My zodiac animal is Rooster. 我屬雞。

　　2. 本命年 —— animal year/ year of fate

　　今年是我的本命年有以下幾種表達：

　　(1). This year is my year of fate.

　　(2). This year is my animal year.

　　(3). This year is my birth year.

　　(4). This year is my big year.

　　3. ……年 —— the Year of the + 屬相。

　　(1). 2018 is the Year of the Dog.  2018年是狗年。

　　(2). Next year is the Year of the Pig.  明年是豬年。

　　十二生肖的每種動物在英文里都有一個對應的單詞，老師給大家列出來，以后就不會弄錯啦。尤其是屬“雞”的，可不是“小雞chicken,chick”之類的，而是“公雞rooster“。
