　　1、I have eggplant and tomatoes for lunch. 我午飯吃茄子和西紅柿。

　　這里的eggplant是指一道菜，是被切碎了的，熟的，所以這里的eggplant是不可數(shù)名詞，不能用復(fù)數(shù)形式。

　　西紅柿 tomato 和土豆 potato 復(fù)數(shù)形式在后面加es tomatoes， potatoes

　　fish 當(dāng)表示為活的魚(yú)的時(shí)候，是可數(shù)的，但它是單復(fù)數(shù)同形；當(dāng)表示為魚(yú)肉的時(shí)候，是不可數(shù)的。

　　cabbage 當(dāng)表示是一種包菜的數(shù)量時(shí)，是不可數(shù)名詞，表示為cabbage；當(dāng)表示不同種類(lèi)的包菜時(shí)，是可數(shù)名詞，表示為cabbages

　　eggplant 當(dāng)表示是未經(jīng)過(guò)烹飪的蔬菜時(shí)，是可數(shù)名詞，表示為eggplants；當(dāng)表示經(jīng)烹飪過(guò)的菜肴時(shí)，是不可數(shù)名詞，表示為eggplant

　　常見(jiàn)的肉類(lèi)為不可數(shù)名詞，pork mutton beef等
