An old man dies. He leaves his son a lot of money. But the son is a foolish young man, and he quickly spends all the money. Of course, when that happens, all his friends leave him. When he is poor and alone, he goes to see a kind, clever old man. The old man often helps people.

　　“I have no money and I have no friends,” says the young man, “What sill happen to me?”

　　“Don’t worry, young man,” answers the old man, “everything will soon be all right. Wait and you will soon feel much happier.”

　　“別擔(dān)心，年輕人。”老人回答說(shuō)：“一切都會(huì)很快好起來(lái)的。等等吧，你不久就會(huì)感到快樂(lè)很多。”

　　The young man is very glad. “Am I going to get rich again then?” he asked.

　　這位年輕人很高興。“是不是我會(huì)很快重新富起來(lái)?”他問(wèn)道。

　　“No,” says the old man, “You will soon get used to being poor and having no friends.”

　　“不，”老人說(shuō)：“你很快就會(huì)習(xí)慣于貧窮和沒(méi)有朋友的生活。”
